Who is Mustang Martech?
I’m Courtney McAra, founder of Mustang MarTech. I started my tech career in 2008 at a start-up in Seattle called Sesame Communication, where I introduced to Salesforce.com and the concept of Marketing Automation. What started with manually throttling emails through Vertical Response led to a full CRM–MAP integration with Marketo and a complete deep dive into the world of MOPS. I spent the next ten years in-house helping companies scale the systems behind their revenue engine, moving on from Sesame to Egencia, Marketo, and eventually SurveyMonkey.

At SurveyMonkey, I led the small but mighty B2B MOPs team to support the built-out of a Sales-Led initiative to support their legacy Product-Led-Growth motion. After SurveyMonkey IPO’d in September 2018, I started looking for my next adventure. Numerous conversations and soul searching let me to launch Mustang MarTech in April 2019.
I chose independent consulting as it gave me the ability to work with multiple teams on an ad hoc or part-time basis. I’ve partnered with B2B companies ranging from early-stage startups to enterprise organizations, helping them bring structure to complex, fast-moving environments.
